"The play owned me from the first moment to the last." - David Anaxagoras, creator of Gortimer Gibbons' Life on Normal Street

An amnesiac genius believes he may have been the arch-villain Mastermind. Now, with less than an hour before Mastermind's last plot threatens to blow-up the city, he must recover secrets locked in his memories and possibly become Mastermind again. Written by Michael Patrick Sullivan.

Mastermind was first staged April 18, 2009 at the Black Box Theatre in Santa Monica, CA and starred J. Claude Deering, Katherine (Brandt) Deering and Jonathan Runyon. Directed by Michael Patrick Sullivan.

It also ran July 10-19, 2009 at the Eclectic Theatre Company of North Hollywood, CA where it won awards for best writing, best actor, and best production. Director Susan Lee and the cast then went on to make a short feature of the play which screened as part of the San Diego Comic-Con Film Festival in 2010.

Mastermind went up for a one-time performance at The 72nd World Science Fiction Convention (aka WorldCon) on August 15, 2014.  Directed by Piers Beckley.
