Red Right Hand: JOSE CHUNG'S FINAL REPOSE
*He is not a secret agent. Not at all.

JOSE CHUNG'S FINAL REPOSE

I've come across many obits and what-not following the passing of Charles Nelson Reilly, who passed away over the weekend from complications of pneumonia.

All of these pieces mentioned that he was a fixture on game shows, in the seventies, like The Match Game.

Some of them mentioned that he was a Tony-award winning actor and multiple nominee for his stage work in the sixties.

None of them mentioned his Emmy-nominated role as Jose Chung (originated on The X-Files, but recognized for his work on Millennium and both written by Darin Morgan), so I have.

He had tough competition. Vincent D'Onofrio was nominated for the memorable Homicide episode, "Subway." The winner was John Larroquette for The Practice.

Thanks to the age of DVD, I'm able to go back and watch those episodes back to back. Good shit.

And on the subject of Darin Morgan, now that brother, Glen, is an EP on The Bionic Woman, maybe we'll get to see some of his work in this decade.
